This week, I would like you to write about an activity
you enjoy doing in the winter. I would like you to choose one activity and give
me at least three reasons why you enjoy it. You will respond by writing a complete
paragraph that contains at least five sentences.
You will not post your response today, but you
are required to complete it during this half hour.

a reminder that a paragraph contains:

a topic
(promise) sentence: what
you promise to tell the reader about
b) at least three support sentences (at
least): specific examples or details about your topic
c) a concluding
sentence:
where you remind the reader what you promised to tell the reader

My favourite winter activity
ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is cross country skiing. Because I like to have a time where I can just go for a ski. I also like it because I like the feeling of when you are gliding across the snow. It is a wonderful sport if you like being in a group or alone. it is not a competitive sport and it does not matter if you win or lose because there is no wining or losing. And that is my favourite winter sport.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is sledding. I love it when I go very fast down a big hill. Also when I can do turns and twists. That’s always fun. Sometimes it is a little scary when you loose control on a hill and wipe out. I like it when my mom comes sledding with me too.

ReplyDeleteI love to ski!!! It is very fun and I can go very fast. I can stop to. At the ski range I like the ski lift to go up the small hill. And the T-bar is also really fun. When you first start the day at the ski range it is a little scary for me sometimes.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter sport is basketball. The reason I choose basketball is because it is a competitive sport. I also like doing it with friends. Basketball is fun because you can get to know new people. My favourite part of basketball is playing games. This is my favourite winter sport.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is skiing. My first reason is that it is fun. My second reason is that I love going down the bunny hill at the Murray Ridge. My third reason is because I am with my dad and it is a special time. My favourite winter activity.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is skiing. Reason 1 is that I get to go skiing with my family witch is the best time ever! The 2nd reason is the T bar, I like how it some times jerks and you have to regain control. The 3rd reason is that going down the top off the hill, you can reach super hi speeds going down. Hockey
ReplyDeleteHockey is cool because you get to travel far away like salmon arm, Vancouver, Prince Rupert, and Chet wean,. And you’re on the ice for an hour and 35 minutes. And you get to go to tourneys and you get to stay in a hotel and eat pizza with your friends. Then you eat sleep and play hockey and you try your best to win.

ReplyDeleteI love snowshoeing and going on the skidoo when it is dark out, I like going sledding and having snow ball fights, I like having hot chocolate on a cold day. I like going on my mini skidoo, I like to go to the lake for the weekend with some friends, we go ice fishing and go on the skidoo and we sit around the fire and roast marshmallows and it is really fun. We do it almost every year; it’s really fun because there are bunk beds and one really big cabin that one family will have one year then the next the next family will go in it. And if you didn’t get the big cabin there are a couple of little ones. THANKS FOR LISTENING :)
Favourite winter activity
ReplyDeleteI love to go snowmobiling, it is fun to do in the winter. In the winter my family and 5 other family come with us the moms stay at home. We take tubes and tie them up to the back of the snowmobiles. Then we go on the lake and tube on the lake. When we aren’t snowmobileing we are ice fishing, its lots of fun. That’s why I love going to the lake in the winter with my friends and family.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter sport is snowmobiling. I like snowmobiling because you can go fast through the snow. I also like to take jumps. I like to go up in the mountains where there is more snow. We have a 700 Yamaha and a 670 Ski-Doo Summit.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is basketball. The reason I like the sport is because I really connect with it. Also because the fun of the games. I like basketball because it is competitive. Basketball is my favourite activity ,also because you can play with new people and meet new friends. I also like basket ball because it is a sport that is very active. Basketball is my favourite winter activity.

ReplyDeleteOne of the activities I like to do in winter is: make winter crafts. I like making winter crafts because making crafts it’s enjoyable. It’s a hobbie I like to do. & Last but not least because its fun. One of the winter crafts I make are cotton ball snowmen. I also like making Christmas cards.

ReplyDeleteQuading is fun in the winter. If the snow is deep and pourty you can poll a gt behind the quad. You can spin out in the soft snow. If it is ice you can drift quit well.

ReplyDeleteIn the winter I have two favourite sports I like to do. One is tobogganing down the big hills at our home. The other sports I enjoy is riding my snowmobile around our course and take jumps. I also like riding my snowmobile in powdery snow. These are my two favourite winter sports.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite winter activity is building snowmen. I like building them because when you are making the ball you have to bring heavy balls.I also like it because it’s not a waist of time. Making snowman is fun.

My favourite winter sport is skiing because you can go with a friend and the steep hills and the powder. I like basket ball because it is a competitive and fun and you get to play with your friends. I like sledding because it is fun hitting jumps and the powder I like making forts because the snow is deep and i make igloos and the tunnels.
