Christmas Holidays
Dear Grade Fives!
Christmas is just around the corner. I would love to hear some
of the special things you like to do over the holiday season. Today, in
a complete paragraph,
please share some of the celebrations, activities, or visits you are looking
forward to doing.
Tomorrow, you will edit your response and have a peer check the editing
as well. Please note that the checklist is a bit longer. You will also be
checking that you have used proper paragraph conventions. When you have made
all of your corrections, you will copy your blog and post it as usual. You may
want to have two windows open side-by-side, one with the blog letter and one being your word document.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of Christmas is spending time with my family. I like to see my auntie that lives in Vancouver and I never get to see her. Plus I like to have family gatherings .I like to see and have fun with my family. This is what I like to do at Christmas

ReplyDeleteChristmas is my favourite thing about December. Is because you get a whole lot of presents under your tree. You can get up early in the morning and open them all. Before your mom and dad get up. This is why I like Christmas because you get a lot of presents. Christmas is the best thing in December.

ReplyDeleteI like Christmas because me and my sweet family is going to Seattle to see my dad and mom grandkids. I hope it will be fun playing with them at there home. And I hope they like my gift for them. It will be fun opening my present. I like there place because we can build a snow forte and play snow ball fight .

ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to Christmas holidays. I will be looking forward to eating because of all the fresh baking and all the sweets. I also like opening presents because you don’t know what’s in them giving presents is also fun because you get to keep other people in suspense. Most of all I look forward to going to family gatherings because you get to play ping pong with your cousins. Those are the few reasons why I like Christmas holidays.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing to do on Christmas is to open presents. I like opening them because I like to see what I got. I like using my stuff after Christmas. If I got a sled we would go sledding in the afternoon. I am looking forward to opening presents!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite part about Christmas holidays is when we get to open presents at my gamma’s house at Willy’s Puddle. At my family’s house I love visiting other people. I like that our friends are coming this year as we are going to go snowmobiling at Bull Mountain. Another favourite part about Christmas is when my family all sit down together and feast on turkey dinner at my gamma’s house. She makes the best turkey for Christmas. Another favourite part is when we get to go tobogganing on Boxing Day. My most favourite part of Christmas is opening presents .

ReplyDeleteThis is some of the things I like to do on my Christmas break. One of the things I like to do is bake with my grandmother. Another one is making pillows with my grandmother for my mom and dad. One of my all time favourites is playing games on Christmas night with my family. That’s why I love Christmas break.

ReplyDeleteDering the Christmas holidays there are many activities I am looking forward to. Over Christmas holidays I am looking forward to seeing my grandma and grandpa Carter because they always make all my family smile and laugh. I also am looking forward to opening up wrapped presents because love to see what I got and to see my family’s faces happy at what they got to. Finally I am looking forward to eating home made Christmas cookies with my family because I will be able to taste lots of different cookies, tarts and cheese cake squares. ReplyDeleteOn the Christmas holidays I like to spent time with my family. On Christmas evening when the family is all together it feels really nice. I enjoy it .After supper when everyone is full we can open our presents and sit together for the rest of the evening. That is what I like about my Christmas holidays, spending time together.

On Christmas break we do lots of different things. We usually go to a family dinner at my Grandma and Poppa’s. At my Grandma and Poppa’s house we open presents and have loads and loads of food. Also I like to watch Christmas movies like Elf or Christmas Story. Sometimes we bake gingerbread or sugar cookies too. I love to spend time with my family. My favourite thing about Christmas break is opening presents on Christmas day. That is what we do on Christmas break.
What I am Doing For Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy mom and dad are planning to travel to New Brunswick to visit my nana and papa for Christmas. The whole family is going there. I will see my aunts, uncles and my three cousins. We will be having a swimming party a few days before Christmas. We usually have the feast on the 25th. If I get every thing I wish for, the house will be packed with Lego Star Wars. Another good part is decorating the Christmas tree. That is what I am doing for Christmas.

This year I am looking forward to every thing about Christmas. Christmas is my favourite holiday because baking is one of my favourite things to do, I love these little cookies shaped like Christmas trees I am pretty sure they are sugar cookies but I do not know. I love sugar cookies. I like to sled a exspiecaley on Christmas day. As soon as I wake up I go upstairs to go look at our presents then I wake up my parents and they always tell me how early it is and then I got back to bed but then later I get woken up by my older sister and we go upstairs and open our stockings .then we open our presents I love spending time with my family on Christmas!! I love Christmas !!

ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I am going to have a Christmas party and go sledding and skiing and enjoy new years. I would love to have a Christmas party and have a lot of snacks at the party and my whole family to come. On New Years Eve I would like to stay up all night a have party and hang out with friends. After new years and Christmas I would like to go sledding on a big hill with my brothers and go skiing on a hill. For Christmas I am going to have a big party and go skiing and sledding.

ReplyDeleteThis year I am excided to do many things on the Christmas holidays. For Christmas this year my family in town and I are having Christmas at my house. I am exited for Christmas because there are so many things to do. Some of my favourite things about Christmas are: being with family, being with people and people knowing they love you, the wonderful food, the atmosphere, being with family and friends, getting to wake up in your p.j’s on Christmas day, and more! On Christmas Eve my family and I we all get to open one present. On Christmas holidays I like to go outside and play in the sparkly bright white snow. When I go outside I bundle up nice and warm. I also like to bake in the winter time for family friends and myself. This year I am excited to do many things on the Christmas holidays.

ReplyDeleteOn Christmas holidays I will do many fun things. I will do school work so I can be ready for next year. I will help decorate the tree. I will also help my family so they don’t get sick. When my family gets sick I tell then to stay in bed and I will make them food. When I decorate the tree my sister helps me. When I do school work I will try to finish the grade 4 math book. Sometimes my dad helps me with some of the questions. On Christmas holidays I like to do these things.

ReplyDeleteI’m exscinded for Christmas holidays. We get to see are family from Fort. St.John. I never really get to see them. Gamma and Grandpa are coming from fort. St. John. I don’t really go up there and see them. I like opening presents with my family when we are all smiling. It makes me happy seeing them and visiting family. I don’t want them to leave. I’m exscinded for Christmas holidays.
This year for Christmas I am much exited for a lot of things. This weekend we are going to get our Christmas tree. We got our decorations out last weekend. My dad put the Christmas lights outside so we are very prepared other then our tree. One of the resins I am exited for Christmas is that every year all of us get a new sled. My mom always hands out the presents so that when we are done we each have our own piles of toys. After breakfast we take our new sleds outside and go sledding. Then my grandpa and my step grandma come over to have coffee, me Emily and Sarah have hot chocolate. When we are done our hot drinks we play with our new toys, and after we just can`t play anymore we watch a movie downstairs. On Christmas Eve my family comes over, my sisters me and my cousins always get pyjamas. We put them on and enjoy their comfort. After everyone is gone and before we go to bed we go on the computer and use the Santa tracker to see when he is going to come to our house, and after that we go to the fridge and get out milk cookies and carrots, the cookies and milk for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer. This is what I am looking forward to doing on the Christmas holidays.

ReplyDeleteOn my amassing Christmas holiday I am going to do a whole bunch of things. I am going to have a big snow ball fight. I am also going to make a snow forte and play in it. ReplyDeleteFor Christmas holidays this year I’m hoping that I get to go skiing with my dad. I want to go skiing with my dad because I want to spend time with him. The first time that I went skiing with my dad it was awesome. If I go skiing this year I will be so happy because I get to spend time with my dad. ReplyDeleteThese are some of the cool parts of the body.One thing I found interesting is the alveoli because they do a cool job. The Adams apple is pretty cool as well it controls your voice . Mucus dose a very easy job. These are some of the cool parts of the body.
